DICOM Grid’s patented Split-Merge technology lets you eliminate CDs, VPNs, film and paper reports by creating a medical imaging exchange over the open Internet. Split-Merge anonymizes image studies by removing protected health information (PHI) from imaging data. The PHI is separately encrypted and stored, creating an Internet-safe image study. When the study is forwarded to an authorized physician, Split-Merge decrypts and merges the PHI back into the image data to recreate the original image study.
